Talented marketeers, IT professionals, HR, Merchandising, Legal, Finance, Training, Operations - every department it takes to make our Restaurants run smoothly and feel fully supported.
That’s why we call it ‘Support Centre’ - not Head Office. The emphasis in Whitbread is about front-line operations, the team and the customer. Support Centre provide a valuable and dedicated resource to all our business - especially our Restaurants - they share in the success, feel part of the group and relish the visible contribution that their skills make.
Firstly you learn that no day is ever the same but what is consistent across our support centre roles is that we all get together on a Monday afternoon for our ‘Huddle’. We get together as a support team to discuss how the business is doing, what we are all working on and discuss all the latest news.
If you work in Finance then your day will involve reviewing the previous weeks figures, working with the marketing team then to create offers, to entice the guests to walk through our doors. Keeping your eye on the ball with the analytics facts and figures is your game! Marketing take the lead with all the materials and offers you see in our sites – they look to visually appeal to our guests both in person and online.
Our HR teams focus on the people element of the business – recruiting and developing and supporting our Manager through processes. The Food Development team work on creating the perfect menus throughout the operation : build the guidance to creation and develop the process for the delivery of the food in our restaurants. We have so may more areas in our Support Centre but you will have to come along to find out more.
We have significant opportunities for both vocational related courses and programmes, plus self-development through our great i-workshops which are our internal leadership development programmes.
